Joey's Pancake House officially reopens on Friday May 25th
In the Summer of 1966 Joey and Brenda O’Keefe paid a visit to Maggie Valley and never left. Joey met and fell in love with Brenda at the world famous Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida where they both worked. While visiting friends in Maggie Valley they noticed a small restaurant for lease and decided to embark on an adventure that would last half a century. They were soon wed at a small church and set to work building Joey’s Pancake House.
Over the decades, their dream has flourished thanks to friends, family and wonderful guests like you who visited year after year for generations. Joey passed away in 2001 and the world famous pancake house closed it’s doors in the summer of 2017 but the spirit of both live on.
